Project Milestone 2

Your task for this milestone is to design an E/R diagram and database schema for your group project.

Review the project guidelines.
Construct an E/R diagram for your database. Then convert the diagram into a set of relations (express these as SQL CREATE TABLE statements). Follow the guidelines for E/R diagrams and schemas in homework 3.
Create a schema.sql file (follow the model used in the flask application) that contains your statements.
Please make sure that you follow the standard conventions as described in the textbook and in class for your E/R diagrams. Any additional features that you need should be included as annotations. Try to include as many constraints as you can (as annotations) that make sense for your application. Include explanations for any constraints that are not obvious. (For example, if some constraint is the result of your design decision to allow at most one shopping cart per registered user at any time, make sure you explain this reason.) Remember that the E/R diagram is a design tool and your work will be evaluated for good design. Simply submitting a syntactically correct diagram will not get you very far if the design is poor (or poorly explained). Feel free to include English explanations as needed as notes.

In hard copy (paper), turn in your E/R diagram and your schema.sql file (print it out).
